5 STAR EXPERIENCE FOR 3 STAR PRICE - i have stayed at numerous establishments over the years and this guesthouse is one of the best. The room was large and very comfortable with a fridge, kettle, microwave & TV. My room was decorated with inspiring and artful decor of a high standard. The linen, duvet & pillows were fresh, clean and plump, and the bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. I arrived to a warm welcome and a serene setting in a beautiful garden. The location is superb as it is close to town but very peaceful next to a mountain stream. Restaurants are in walking distance.

To sum it up: • Beautiful location with mountain view • Lovely hosts- Very helpful and proactive at ensuring that your stay is comfortable. • Tidiness maintained at all times • Towels and extra pillows, blankets provided- Just take your bathroom essentials and you're set. • Kitchen utensils, microwave, refrigerator - Everything was there in the room. • Wifi - Although I preferred to just sit out and enjoy the view with my coffee. If you are going to use the wifi, the signal varies but works fast.

guesthouse is way much beyone my exceptions. it's inside of owner's farm, you can smell nature even. the room decoration so much hitted me, like a dream room of mine. and everything was clean and tidy. Also the restaurant was so good, the food the people over there is super nice.

Mt Horeb Manor has to be my favorite place to stay in South Africa. First of all it is in Clarendon, one of the cutest towns in South Africa. The location gave us spectacular mountain views from our deck. The rooms were beautifully furnished. The owner, Urshula, was very charming, friendly, and helpful. The included breakfast was wonderful. I highly recommend this guest house.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Everyone on the farm - even the dogs - are hospitable. Their cheesecake is excellent, and the goat's milk cheeses should be tasted. We enjoyed the hiking route on the farm and the beautiful braai facilities. It is close enough to Clarens to go there as often as one likes but far enough away to enjoy much more than Clarens alone.
