A certain intimacy as we are not too many poeple per main lodge. Our Ranger, Bianca, was absolutely awesome.

Perched on top of a hill, Umzolozolo Private Safari Lodge is situated in the malaria-free Nambiti Big 5 Private Game Reserve. It boasts a rim flow pool overlooking a valley. Probably one of the best lodges I have stayed in - they really stand out in terms of hospitality and facilities. Staff is just so good, they always call you by name, personalise your whole experience. Spa experience was also very good, game drives were informative and we saw plenty of game including 4 out of big fives. It felt we were living in a movie. Just book it, it's worth it!

Nambiti Plains offers accommodation within the malaria-free Nambiti Big 5 Game Reserve. It boasts accommodation with panoramic views of the open plains. We loved our stay at the Lodge. It was very personal - starting with the pickup from the car lot where we were greeted by name. Each staff member was very welcoming and just made our trip exceptional. The room was a dream (honeymoon suite) offering us enough privacy to enjoy our time. From our own terrace we had a giraffe, warthogs and impalas visiting us. Our guide J.P. was an amazing guide who shared lots of valuable informations about the bush with us. The first game drive was even only the 2 of us enjoying a romantic game drive through the bush were we’ve seen all the major animals. The food was amazing and all in all we’ll always remember this trip as one of the best things so far. Thanks for this amazing experience and we’ll definetly come back. We saw all of the big 5 and much more - highly recommend Nambiti Private Reserve and the Nambiti Plains Lodge.

Located 27 km from Ladysmith, Cheetah Ridge Lodge is situated within the Big 5 Nambiti Private Game Reserve, which boasts the Big 5 with a variety of other species and amazing birdlife. Very attentive and friendly staff - a lovely experience! Our game guide, Colin, made sure we saw all the Big six (included hippos) plus many other animals, while providing lots of interesting facts, and hosting tasty morning-risers and sun-downers. Beautiful and comfortable accommodations. Lots of care and lots of special “extras” - we were well taken care of.
