Clean, good service, hot shower was superb, healthy breakfast, free sake tasting for half the day! Location is unbeatable. Funasaka Brewery and their Hida beef restaurant is 30secs walk to the left.

Everything was great. I'd absolutely stay here again and again. The staff was not fluent in English but they were very helpful and used a translating app to speak to us. The room was clean, breakfast was great, the sauna and hot springs (2 large bath tubs) were amazing as well. 5 Stars.

Staying at a temple was unique experience. The rooms were beautiful in traditional Japanese style. The fold out beds had an extra mattress and were very comfortable. The view of the garden was lovely and relaxing. We participated in morning prayer and also a meditation session. Both are highly recommended. We also recommend the small breakfast restaurant across the street for toast and pancakes. The place is run by an adorable elderly couple.

Featuring 4-star accommodation, Onn nakatsugawa is set in Nakatsugawa, 13 km from Ōi and 13 km from Enakyo Wonderland. Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Onn Nakatsugawa is a beautiful and modern boutique hotel located close to the train station, in a very centric but quiet area of Nakatsugawa, full of cafes and restaurants. It’s also on the old Nakasendo and you can visit a few of the historic buildings of the town. The hotel is very nice (as the staff), has public baths, free coffee throughout the day and rice in the evening, plus amenities such as toothbrush, razor, yukata, etc. You have to take off your shoes which is a nice detail. We had the Comfort Twin room with shower and it was decently spacious.

We had a great stay. We were traveling with our 1 year old and the staff was very patient and helpful. Although the staff speaks little English, they really went the extra mile to assist us and it was all very relaxing for us. They also prepared a small dinner meal just for our kid. Dinner and breakfast are simply amazing. The room was spacious and lovely, and the private onsen was incredibly relaxing. The public baths are great too.
