When we arrived at the hotel, the staff members were very welcoming, and when we left, they all wished us a safe travel and hoped we would return. If you want to visit Amsra and the Black Sea region but are put off by the outdated, overpriced hotels along the coast - I highly recommend staying in Bartin and visiting from there (20 minutes drive). Kaf Konak is a gem of a hotel, with a beautiful garden and a restaurant with full bar (which can be difficult to find in the area). Rooms are on the small side but beautifully furnished and restored in line with the historic nature of the building. If I come to the area again, I hope to stay at Kaf Konak again!

Wonderful hotel on the water at the quiet end of town. Staff were excellent and obviously well trained. Breakfast was great. Our room was right on the sea front with a balcony. There are 6 of the rooms. Others are closer to the pool. Loved it all.

If you're heading to Trabzon, stay at Hotel Sera Lake—it's the best! The natural surroundings are stunning, the hosts are super friendly, breakfast is delicious and varied, and the rooms are comfy and spacious. I'd give my stay a perfect 10/10!
