A comfy eclectic hideaway near to the sea. Everything you could need was available in the home. A washing machine was very appreciated. Good line out the back The cooker was very useful in the cold spell. The lighting was bright and plentiful & used eco bulbs. Better than in most rentals!! Load shedding did not occur here which was a relief! However, that would not have been problematical as there was a gas heater with 3 levels. We were toasty & comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped. The kitchen had every tool you could possibly need! Plenty of china glasses and cutlery. Good wifi.

We really appreciated that the family rooms have a room within them with the children's room, which helps a lot with getting the child to bed and also provides more privacy for parents. We also appreciated that there are people serving breakfast, rather than a serve-yourself buffet. Excellent facilities, including a very nice lounge with a pool table and an poolside area with table tennis. Don't miss the excellent mining museum at the back.

The Beachhouse is situated in Port Nolloth and offers self-catering accommodation. Popular points of interest around the property include Port Nolloth Harbour and Port Nolloth Museum. Location, the beautifull house, the charm of the helpfull hosts, it was our best stay in South Africa. Good place to start the flowerroutes. Strongly recommend staying there...

Offering a garden and barbecue, Verbe Farm Accommodation is set in Kamieskroon. Roof of Namakwaland is 21 km from the property. Free private parking is available on site. This stay was such an incredible experience! Bed was very clean and comfortable (the little lodge as well).Being without wifi and electricity was absolutely not a problem for us since the location itself is breathtaking! We took a walk during the sundown and read at candlelight. We loved it and would definitely come back! Ps: personal was lovely!

Frontier River Resort is located in South Africa, 6 km from the Vioolsdrift Border Control to Namibia. Kotzeshoop is 5 km away. The resort is on the banks of the Orange River. The grounds and luxury tents were in a nice setting with a lot of seasonal planting upgrades, like their own orange grove, that I would love to return to see in the future. Because the facility is on a hillside, owners were concerned with my walking with a crutch but I managed well. Really enjoyed falling asleep with the tent flaps open so I could look at stars, wake to first sun light and bird song. Everything from bedding to towels and toiletries made me feel like I was in a luxury spa. I really enjoyed the owners young son who was concerned about compression wraps on my legs. He sat me in a chair in front of the tent, went and got my book and kept me entertained until my husband came back from his walk. Such a big heart, full of compassion, in such a small body.

This hotel offers peaceful accommodation in a garden setting with an outdoor pool and tiled terrace. Guests can stay in hotel rooms or in dome-shaped suites with a thatched roof. I liked everything about the place, the indoor fireplace had its pros and cons...mostly pros as it was extremely cold at night.The cottage is well-laid out and is furnished with many appliances should you wish to cook. The lack of a wifi signal is a bonus and we got to hang out around the fireplace. There are hikes all around the property, and I wish we could have had a more extended stay and gone on at least one. However, my 80-year-old mom wanted to see daisies😝 The bathrooms were adequate, the toilets worked perfectly, and the water was hot. The lodge supplied us with towels and washing amenities. All-in-all it was a great stay.

Breakfast and Dinner were excellent. The hosts were perfect and after a very long drive they did everything to make us comfortable. The walk up the Koppie was unexpected and a real treat. If you want noise and nightlife do not go but if you want tranquility under the stars it is just the perfect place.
